Wish I Could Reach Oprah Winfrey
My name is Mikey Gatal and I wish that one day Oprah Winfrey could read my story and i heard that she helps a lot of people and especially kids. Hi Miss Oprah and good day to you. This coming April 26, 2010, i am planning to visit my hometown in the small island in the Philippines named Bohol. i have been away from home for how many years now and 10 years to be exact. there have been a lot of circumstances why i decided not to go home yet. like for example, i come from a very big family, i have 12 brothers and sisters. my father got sick and i have to work hard in order for him to survive and pay hospital bills but sadly, he died. i am basically the bread winner of the family when my father died and sacrificed a lot just to be able to raise them. my mother’s income in the Philippine’s as a teacher wasn’t enough. she strived so hard to make our family grow and grounded.
I am writing to you that if by any chance you can read my letter, if you could possibly help me make my trip and family reunion a memorable one. I am planning to visit one of of the Foundations i have joined and celebrate there and if this will happen with your help, everyone’s going to be happy as i am also promoting my island Bohol to rest of the world how worderful and exciting to be there as one of the wonders and tourist attractions. here is the link of some of the happy faces of the children being visited my family members and friends:
